4. Character: Colourless or white crystalline or crystalline powder, odourless, cool and tastes salty. It is soluble in water and difficulitly in ethanol. It has slightl deliquescence in moist air and PH value of 5% aqueous solution is 7.6 to 8.6. If heated to 150℃ ,it may lose crystal water.
5. Use: In food processing industry, it is used as buffer, chelate agent,it is also used as nutrition supplement for yoghurt, emulsifier and flavoring agent. In pharmaceutical industry, it is used as anticoagulant and as preservative in syrup manufactured goods. For example, it can abate acidity of citric acid in soft drink. It can prevent dairy products from acidification and could be used as viscosifier for cheese and minced meat. And as gelling agent for jelly or juice, emulsifier for cheese or ice.
6. Packing: It is packed with polyethylene bag as liner and a compound plastic woven bag as the outer layer. The net weight of each bag is 25kg.
7. Storage & Transport: It should be stored in a dry and ventilative warehouse, kept away from moistrue and hot. Furthermore, it must be sctored separately from poisonous substances. Unload with care as to avoid damaging the bags.
